Bring people together around an idea
Curious Labs brings people together to explore ideas and work through local challenges using curiosity and design.
It is a way to bring what I’ve learned in enterprise design closer to community life, with the people affected helping shape what happens. A project might begin with an artist’s story, a shared space or a question about the future of a place.

A practice that meets people where they are
Taking shape in
Graham
The work can happen through a pop up, a workshop, a partner venue or a local project. A physical space in a retail setting remains one possibility. The purpose stays consistent as the setting changes: make room for people to think together, try something and learn from it.
In Graham, I’m exploring how community voices can help shape a shared vision for the city. The work is in its early stages, beginning with who needs to be heard and how they can participate. This is a pro bono contribution rooted in my interest in urban design and community development. It is one current expression of Curious Labs, with the next steps developing through conversation and participation.
Ideas to explore together
Artists and their stories
Artists and
their stories
Artist profiles and conversations can help people articulate their practice, make their work more visible and see new possibilities for connecting with others.
Shared questions and spaces
Shared questions
and spaces
A focused gathering can give people a way to examine something they experience together, imagine alternatives and make a small idea tangible enough to test.

Local
collaborations
Pop ups and partnerships can create opportunities to bring design thinking into places people already use. The format should fit the question and the people involved.
Bring an idea
Tell me what you’re noticing, who it matters to and what you would like to explore together. We can discuss a useful format, a manageable scope and what each of us would contribute.
