The curiosity
travels.
I’m interested in what helps people live, work, create and connect.

What draws me in
I tend to notice the experience around the thing: how someone finds their way into a service, how a shared space supports the people in it, or how an everyday object feels in use. I want to understand what makes it work and where there is room to make it better.
My enterprise work developed that way of thinking across products, teams and services. Today, I’m carrying it into more of my life, through ceramics, teaching and local community projects. Curious Will is the home for that evolving practice.
Urban design and community development are a particular interest. I care about how places are shaped, how people experience them and whose voices influence their future. Bringing my experience closer to local life lets me work with those questions directly.
From an idea to something people can experience
Research makes room for what people know and experience. Systems thinking helps me see relationships and responsibilities. Design gives a possible future enough form to test and discuss.
Making brings that thinking into contact with the world. In clay, I can explore space, form and surface. In a community project, I can help people make their perspectives visible. The satisfaction comes from taking something imagined and giving it a useful, tangible expression.
One practice with different expressions
Curious Will
My independent design and strategy practice, and the home for the ideas I share. I work with people and organizations to understand a situation, shape a direction and carry it into practical change.

My ceramics practice and teaching. Clay gives me a different way to create, and teaching lets me help others develop both the skills and the confidence to bring their own ideas into form.

CMS Cloud Fusion
As Lead Service Designer through LeCor Technologies LLC, I connect customer experience, lifecycle operations and shared services. The work carries customer and operational needs into guidance, workflow logic and experience requirements.
Local creative and community work
At The Artist Coop, I participate as a resident artist, teacher and design contributor. Recovering Clay has been part of my learning and community over five years, alongside my website and service design contributions. Early work in Graham is opening another path for applying design locally.
Property Sibs
An emerging real estate venture and another direction I’m exploring through my interest in spaces. I’m developing the idea and its role in my wider practice. This part of the story will grow as the work takes shape.
Artist Coop and Recovering Clay are independent organizations. Contributions there are described in their own context.
Earlier experience
CDC Data Exchange
Service design across onboarding, support and connected data exchange services, through Fearless Tech LLC.
Blue Cross NC
Nine years spanning visual design, product design and senior product strategy. That progression helped me look beyond individual screens toward the wider experience and the systems supporting it.
